Printing copies

Printing copies is one of Laboratoires Eclair’s principal services. It has one of the most modern departments in the world and is in third position worldwide.

Since the creation and deployment, in the 1990s, of an ultramodern plant entirely dedicated to printing 35 mm copies, Eclair has produced over 120 million metres of copy each year. The site is organized for the large-scale industrial processing of copies.

However, Eclair’s major concern remains, as always, to respect quality, however high production rates may be. Its technicians use their know-how and professional rigour at all phases of the production line.

Capacity

800,000 metres of copies each day, or 180 copies each day for a film and 70 copies per day for a second film. Capacity for small subjects (F.A., preFA, advertising) is 1,500 copies each day.

Eclair is equipped with the most rapid machines on the market for printing copies. Its developers are fitted with ENR making it possible to carry out specific interventions on positive copies.

Secure packaging

The printers are equipped with a Cap Code anti-pirating tracking system. This makes it possible to impress a « watermark » on the positive roll.

Eclair has put in place a secure packing system which enables copies to travel in conditions guaranteeing safe and optimised transport (specific hooping and cardboard packing).
